Teamwork Matters
Learning to be a member of a team and work with others is a foundational life skill and it is something we seek to teach through Waco Warriors. Your child will learn how to work with teammates they know as well as those they are less familiar with in pressure game situations.
Program Overview
What To Expect
Waco Warriors Basketball is a competitive youth program serving athletes from elementary through high school.
Our focus is skill development, basketball IQ, and structured team competition. Warriors offers a structured, competitive environment for athletes ready to develop their skills and compete as part of a team.
In addition to athletic development, we are committed to building character. As part of the Waco Warriors Sports Foundation, our program values integrity, discipline, accountability, and Christ-centered leadership both on and off the court.
We aim to provide consistent coaching, meaningful competition, and long-term development for every player in our program.
Player Expectations & Evaluations
All players participate in an evaluation process prior to team placement. Players are evaluated on; skill level, athleticism, basketball IQ, competitiveness and coachability. Roster spots are limited.
Warriors players are expected to:
Attend practices consistently with a good attitude and work ethic
Be available for scheduled tournaments
Compete with effort and discipline
Respect and clearly communicate with coaches and teammates
Represent the program with excellent character on and off the court

Waco Warriors is seeking dedicated, high-character coaches who are committed to developing athletes both on and off the court. Our program is built on excellence, competitiveness, and a culture that prioritizes growth, accountability, and success. We are committed to creating an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
We select our coaches very carefully based on their playing background, coaching experience, leadership, professionalism, and the ability to positively influence young athletes. Multiple reference checks and a background check is mandatory for all coaches.
